Day of Facility Release. If you are an inmate leaving on discharge or parole, you will be released by 11:59 p.m. on the date of release, weather permitting. At the time of your release, you will read, or a facility staff member will read to you, one of the following, as applicable: Order of Release. Conditions of Probation.

The VADOC will calculate the inmate’s release date if they have an active ESC sentence of more than 12 months. ESC sentences earn good time at a rate of 0 days to 4.5 days per 30 days served and is determined by the class level at which the inmate is earning.

This is the anticipated release date of the inmate, typically provided 30 days in advance. If the date changes, we will send another advanced release notification.
